Susan "Sam" Shockley came to the DC area in
1988 from Scottsdale, AZ, the consignment
capitol of the world. Many women in
Scottsdale would not be caught dead in the
same outfit twice. Consignment stores
were very special which did not go
unnoticed by Sam. "My dream was to
establish a boutique more beautiful than
any store I had ever seen. In 1993 my
dream was fulfilled. Consigning Women
Apparel (CWA) is now one of the most
Elegant Shops in the Greater Washington, DC
area featuring a large collection of carefully
selected designer labels and a huge "Plus
Department". Labels include: St. John, Chanel,
Christian Dior, Escada, Platinum, Dana Buchman,
Ellen Tracy, Evan Picone, Jones New York, & Liz
Claiborne etc., women's clothing and accessories.
Priced right originally at one -half to one-third of
their original cost and then great SALES to boot."
Sales are the mainstay of CWA which make it a
place that is ALWAYS fun to visit.
CWA has received 4 out of 4 stars by the Gonzo
Shopper of the Washington Times Newspaper,
"Best" by the Times Community Newspaper
system 4 years in a row with many articles written
about CWA excite us. We have been a
